How to use the result

Obtain feed per tooth from the tool manufacturer catalogue or the cutting-data calculator. It usually applies to full-width engagement; at a smaller width of cut, increase it to compensate for chip thinning.

For turning and drilling, use feed per revolution rather than feed per tooth. The feed-conversion tool converts between these values.
