Spindle speed from cutting speed
Spindle speed from cutting speed
Calculates spindle speed from cutting speed and tool or workpiece diameter.
How to use the result
Use the cutting speed recommended by the tool manufacturer for your material. The cutting-data tool provides a starting value when it is unavailable.
For turning, the effective diameter changes with every cut. Calculate at the cutting-edge diameter or use constant surface speed (G96) with a spindle-speed limit.
