Privacy notice
This notice explains which data is processed when you use the CNC Kalkulator tools. The controller is L&I IT-solutions GmbH & Co. KG, Weiler Nächstenbach 12, 69469 Weinheim, Germany, kontakt@cnckalkulator.de.
Use without an account
Your inputs are sent to our server for calculation. File tools send file contents to the server for evaluation; for PDFs, only the text layer is first read in your browser. The original file is not stored permanently. To deliver the pages, the server processes technically necessary connection data such as the IP address, time, and requested page in log files. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Local storage in your browser
Your browser stores the most recent values for each tool, recently used tools, and the sidebar state on your device. These settings remain on your device; inputs are sent to our server when you run a calculation. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. The standard calculators do not load third-party content. The separate section below applies when you explicitly start an AI drawing analysis.
Account and saved calculations
When you create a free account, we store your name, email address, and password as a hash. When you save a calculation, we store its inputs, title, and date. Workspaces and tool favorites are linked to your account. For saved file tools, the file contents used for the calculation may also be part of the saved inputs. The legal basis is performance of the user agreement (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR). The site uses a technically necessary session cookie for sign-in.
Drawing analysis with Anthropic Claude (Pro)
When you explicitly start a paid drawing analysis, we store the original drawing, enlarged page views, supplementary CAD or NC files, and your manufacturing details in your protected account. Page overviews, high-resolution crops, the text embedded in a PDF drawing, your details, and evaluations of supplementary files are sent to Anthropic (Anthropic PBC, USA) for analysis. The analysis can call our calculation tools; their inputs and results are stored with the analysis result. Other users cannot access your data.
The upload flow informs you about this transfer before it starts. The analysis is optional; the free calculators, the public API, and the public MCP server work without Anthropic and send nothing to the provider. For details about processing by the provider, see Anthropic’s privacy policy.
Voluntary feedback
When you submit feedback, we store your message, the selected category, the address of the affected page without inputs, search terms or redirect targets, the tool where applicable, and technical details for troubleshooting: page title, window and screen size, pixel density, language, time zone, browser time, browser identification, the latest script errors of the page, the application version, your plan, and the server time. For signed-in users, the feedback is linked to the account and a screenshot of the visible part of the page is stored, which you can remove or replace with your own image before sending. Your IP address is not stored in the feedback record. The feedback remains stored while we process it; it is not sent by email and is not automatically forwarded to an external service.
Closing your account and requesting deletion
You can remove calculations and workspaces from your active lists. Closing your access under “Account” ends sessions, archives ordinary account content, and permanently removes private drawing files and their analysis reports from the active system. Backups follow the defined retention period. To request deletion of the remaining account data, email kontakt@cnckalkulator.de.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and objection. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
